Hagstrom GUITAR

From what I have learned, through Google, and several nice men on the internet who collect Hagstrom guitars, this is a red sparkle de luxe by Hagstrom, and was likely made between 1958 and 1959 as the guitar company did a run or batch of these "red sparkle large model" guitars in 1958-1959.  This one has a later serial or model number (see picture of the plate on the back of the guitar below) that indicates it is number "72" in the run or batch.  I have been told this was a "first run" batch of guitars and there were only 96 produced/made in this batch or run.  The number indicates this guitar is 72 of the 96 so it is likely that it would have been made near the end of the batch -- hence, most likely in 1959.  This guitar was made in Sweden.

It is very rare and would be a delight to collectors of Hagstrom guitars.  I am considering selling it but haven't decide for sure.  I also have not set a price yet.  I took these pictures to show the condition, details, flaws and all.  I had it checked at a local guitar shop and they said the majority of it works, it powers, has sound, but some of the switches are not working just right.  They believe it could be due to age and internal condition (meaning it needs a good cleaning both inside and outside).  I am debating on whether to pay the local guy to open it up and clean it.  He believes he can get it full functional if he does.  He gave me some specifics about the switches and the swaps and the pickups and so forth but the bottom line is he believes it just needs a good cleaning.
